Guys, tell me how long does it take you to propose to your girlfriend? or girls, how long does it take your hubby to propose you?

6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, shorter or longer, or never? 🙂

That’s the good thing being a guy, isn’t it? You have the control of the proposal – well, not marriage yet – but at least, after the proposal might come the wedding, not the other way round. A girl, on the other hand, is pretending to be patient and guess. Unless she is like Monica in ‘Friends‘ – asking Chandler – to give her his hand 🙂

My question is how long it should be enough to make such a decision? Maybe time is not the real issue, the matter is how they are getting along? Is it really true???

So if a couple are sticky, can they get married after 3 months going out? Is it too early or is it ok?

It’s amazing. I learn a new thing about myself everyday. 🙂

I’ve never realised how open I am in a relationship. That is, I mean I wouldn’t mind my boyfriend talking friendly with some other girls in the office or his acquaintances. And I wouldn’t mind his hello or good-bye kisses on girls’ cheeks either (cheeks only, of course :-). In the end, kiss is something in our culture, isn’t it? It’s warm, nice and sincere.

On the other hand, I notice there are some other girls who do not like that, at all. When I say “at all”, I mean, she might go mad when she sees her boyfriend talking to somebody else (even that is a female colleague). And what did he do wrong? SMILE! Just a gentle smile, nothing else, no flirt, no wink, nothing but a smile. That’s enough for a storm to start. Right in the middle of the office. (Uffff…)

They work together, so a work lunch with other colleagues is prohibited unless she is invited and is in the mood to go too. No more outing/ drinking without her, ever, again!

Before the relationship, he was the fun guy. Now, what is he like? He can’t have a smile with another girl, not even a normal talk… Is that really what a girl wants to turn her boyfriend into?

What I don’t get is, if you are living with her and working with her, that is 24 / 7 you are attached with somebody without your own private space. And if you were the boyfriend, would you feel a bit stuffy?

Kissing a girl is a nice thing, hmmm… unless it is with a girl with higher education than yours!

Girl with physics Ph.D.:
“Well kissing is relative. You can kiss me with respect to me or with respect to you. First define how you are going to kiss. You can kiss me by treating me in the same reference frame as you are or treating me in a different inertial frame by producing waves of motion through your
lips. How do you prefer?

The guy faints.
Girl with mathematics Ph.D.:
“Kissing is fine. You can kiss me provided you satisfy the following conditions. Necessary conditions: You should be close to me by a distance delta where delta is greater than zero and the limit for delta tends to zero and you satisfy the closure property. Sufficient conditions:You should have lips.Where the number of lips is neither more than two nor less than two. You can also kiss by defining your hand to be me if and only if you satisfy the above conditions.

The guy goes mad.
Girl with ecological sciences Ph.D.:
Oh Kissing, that is interesting phenomena that occurs in nature. This is an initiating process for sex not only found in homosapiens but also in all heterosapiens, mammals, camels, vertebrates invertebrates and insects. Out of 1000 ants observed in a closed laboratory in Zuvinich in Yugoslavia 90% of them seem to involve in the process of kissing but the subsequence
is very random with probability 0.672139 that a male ant kiss female ant. First observe the behaviour of ants and cockroaches under various conditions. That will be very interesting.

The guy has an heart attack.

Girl with a computer degree:
“You want to kiss me. That is fine I assume that you know the algorithm for that very well. But you have to complete the process within 56.22 seconds or else connection will be timed out. To optimise the timing lets do parallel processing. As we have to discuss about our future and other things, let us do the process of discussion foreground and why can’t you put the process of kissing background?”

The guy applies for divorce.

(collected – to share a smile)

I’m being tagged by rieaane for the coming 8th of August, and here are my 8 confessions about myself:

1. My artist: I love paintings. I love many many artists. I especially adore Impressionists, and Surrealists. But the special ones for me are Monet, for his beautiful waterlily flowers, and Frida, for her efforts in Art and her achievements despite her personal pains…

2. My type of films: Cartoons and animations. I love the beautiful & divine styles by Walt Disney.

3. My type of books: Fantasy. I like reading in general. Above all, I love to live in imagination where there are castles, kings, queens, evils and fairies, the good fight against the bad, and eventually win…

4. My precious moment: Sitting in front of the sea, listening to the wave, and contemplating.

5. My favourite theatre: Live concerts and musicals. It’s great to be in London where you have aplenty to enjoy.

6. My favourite flower: Lavender. It’s easy to see why my blog’s name is Lavender fragrance. I love Lavender for its divine smell… Beautiful…

7. My ideal beauty: Audrey Hepburn. For me, she’s the most beautiful lady of all time.

8. My top favourite of all favourites: Ice cream. I adore ice cream. I eat them in Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. I eat them all the year round. Yum yum.

I know a friend couple. He’s more than 50. She’s at her late 40s. She’s not very well (actually she’s ill) and she’s unemployed, he’s white and she’s black, he’s handsome but she’s not so beautiful… But is it really matter?

It depends on each person, in my opinion, but for them, I’m sure it’s not. It’s such a pleasant feeling to look at them dancing together, the way they smile with each other, it’s beautiful… It’s a feeling that I can’t really describe, it’s just a happy feeling, the feeling of love and being loved in their sparkling eyes. They have been married for more than 15 years now, and they are still in love as if they were dating…

I think age is not important, race is not important, the important thing is that you keep the flame in your heart…

A little creature was wandering in its pasture. Looking beyond the horizon, It realised the world is far larger and waiting for its discovery.

And that’s where the dilemma starts. Its curiosity doesn’t go very well with its fearfulness and its needs of being cared and protected.

One day, on the way to the horizon, It stumbled and fell ill. Lying down in the cold and rotten hay, It feels the loneliness and tiredness, deeply in its heart, It wants a home.

Luckily, there was a kind-hearted farmer who saw it, loved the little thing, took It home and cared for it. It appreciates its new life, simple and peaceful. From time to time, It was taken to see the world by the farmer and It loved all that about human world.

However, nothing is that easy in life, conflicts and unfulfilled desires mounted in its small head. Again, It likes to wander around like a silent shadow in the small garden, talking to the wild daisy and buttercup about dreams and loves…

And the day has come, It suddenly caught the eye of a stranger who has deep and warm eyes. The eyes seem knowing how to talk, they tell It about another world that It has never known before, the stories of untouched land and fantasy world with kings, queens, knights, evils, fairies, fights for happiness. It forgot of everything else in its little world and It found its smile back…
One day, the stranger saw its leash in its neck, the farmer’s leash…
Again, being lonely, It wanders around and whispers to the wild flower by the road: “Should It or should It not”?

The wild flowers swayed from side to side in the wind but said nothing.

The stranger stopped by the road, leaned down and picked the little creature up with a strong blue-ribboned arm. The stranger held the little creature still, turning the collar of the leash around looking for the little creatures name.

The wildflowers watched the stranger and the little creature and remained silent.

The stranger read the little creatures name out loud and smiled a warm lipless smile. After loosening the little creatures collar a notch and rubbing the little creatures neck the stranger leaned over the garden gate and placed the little creature gentley back in its little garden.

The stranger and the little creature stared and smiled and stared and smiled and stared and smiled over the fence at each other until the sun began to set over the strangers shoulder. The stranger kissed a hand, leaned over the garden fence and gently touched the little creatures forehead.

“I have to leave now and return to my own little garden” the stranger said in a sad voice. “If you want to find me, follow a bumblebee.”

the wildflowers had been waiting fot this moment to open their mouths and sing. As their voices rang out across the little garden, breeze blown seeds scattered over the garden fence, across the pasture and over the horizon.

The stranger and the little creature stood still and marvelled at the soft shiny seeds with wide eyes and open mouths.

At that moment a wildflower seed landed in the strangers golden hair. The stranger removed the seed, placed it gently on top of the little creatures head and winked before turning and walking away from the little garden towards the horizon.

The little creatures eyes followed the strangers journey. Every now and then the stranger would stop, turn, look back at the little creature in the little garden and smile a warm lipless smile. When the stranger crossed the horizon the little creature looked down, stopped smiling, paused for a moment before it turned its head and went back…

(…special thanks to a friend who was once her inspiration and a great helper…)
